More on the B Corp makers:
Teatulia's garden-to-cup teas from Bangladesh not only taste good but also do good…for the land, for the people, and for the environment. Their garden started as barren land and they brought it back to life through regenerative farming -- where women working in the garden benefit from innovative education, health, and cattle-lending programs that help lift families out of the cycle of poverty. The Hibiscus Berry Tea is the perfect marriage of fresh, sweet berry and tangy hibiscus.
12 Tides is on a mission to reverse climate change with the world’s first regenerative organic kelp snack. Specially crafted from kelp grown in small-scale regenerative ocean farms in the pristine waters of the North Atlantic, which positively impact surrounding water quality and marine life while aiding in removing CO2 from our oceans. Kelp is also a zero-input crop, meaning farming it requires no pesticides, no fertilizers, no arable land and no fresh water. 12 Tides is a proud member of 1% for the Planet and currently contributes one percent of all annual sales to SeeTrees, an organization that supports efforts in the reforestation of California kelp forests and other ocean conservation projects. To top it off, 12 Tides packs their snacks in an innovative compostable pouch, ensuring that no plastic ends up in our waterways.
Sol Simple: Grown in the nutrient-dense volcanic soil of Nicaragua, this Mango is hand-picked at the peak of ripeness. The unique heirloom Rosa-variety mango is grown by smallholder farmers, and dried in small batches in Sol Simple's solar dehydrators.
Sun & Swell: With a mission to fix our broken food system through compostable packaging that turns back into soil that can be reused on farms within months. Sun & Swell even offers a send-back program so that they can do the composting for you if you don't have access to a compost bin! Prioritizing small local farms, these energy bites are made with no added sugars, preservatives, or flavors. Also a member of 1% for the Planet.
Equator Coffee: Coffee can be better is the realization that inspired the Equator Coffee founders to source in a way that makes lives better. This is a high-impact coffee company focused on quality, sustainability, and social responsibility. This Fair Trade and organic certified mocha java is built around a pair of coffees from Ethiopia, completed by a women-produced coffee from the Ketiara Cooperative in the Gayo Mountain region of Sumatra’s Aceh Province.
Narrative Food: This is Narrative Food's first in house product. And it's a love story. Jennifer, the Founder of Narrative Food, has a long history of popcorn in her family – in the early 1900's her great grandfather Moses Finkelstein built a large chain of movie theaters spanning the great Midwest -- but really, the movie theaters were just an excuse to sell popcorn. Her grandfather and father followed in Moses' footsteps: three generations of popcorn sellers, and with this bag of popcorn, Jennifer becomes the fourth. Meanwhile in 2019, Beau inherited Buck’s Spices, his mother’s 50 year spice shop in Olympia, WA, and with it, came the family recipe for a special smoked salt blend. When Jennifer met Beau, he became the spice of her life, and she became his main dish. One romantic evening, they tried something new and daring: they sprinkled his smoked salt blend on her popcorn, and that was it, they knew they had a match made in heaven. Because love is bigger than both of them, this bag of popcorn donates $3 to World Central Kitchen to further their mission to deliver hot nutritious meals to those who need it most.
