Our Sustainability

Sustainability has always been central to our mission at Narrative Food, from our work to reduce food miles through farm-to-table delivery in Los Angeles to our longheld support for regenerative organic agriculture. Today, we are proudly working to reduce our emissions at every level of our supply chain.

Our Carbon Compensation Partners

SeaTrees

In addition to planting mangrove trees to enhance biodiversity in Mida Creek Kenya, this VCS and CCBA certified Southern Cardamom project contains 2000+ hectares of pristine mangrove forest and helps to protect and enhance a further 50,000+ hectares of mangroves (the largest contiguous mangrove forest ecosystem in the Gulf of Thailand) that directly surround the project boundary. They aim to restore multiple ecosystems to sequester more carbon emissions than we create, with a focus on the ocean and the life it supports.

Amazonia

The Envira Amazonia Project is a VCS and CCBS designed REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and (Forest) Degradation) project in the State of Acre, Brazil which aims to protect up to 200,000 hectares of tropical rainforest. Furthermore, the Envira Amazonia Project will simultaneously preserve rich biodiversity and a wide range of ecosystem services, provide direct benefits to local communities, and mitigate the release of ~12.6 million metric tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions over the first 10 years of the Project.

Our Action Plans

In addition to cutting our direct and indirect emissions in half by 2030, we adopted several action plans to reduce emissions from our supply chain over the next two years.
