This organic, fair trade coffee is named after the Royal Tar circus ship that sank near Deer Isle in 1836. Today, on this same island off the coast of Downeast Maine, neighbors Narrative Food and 44 North Coffee work together to build community locally and support small-scale producers around the world. A woman-owned roastery, 44 North sources these coffee beans from B Corp certified Coop Coffees, supporting farmer-owned cooperatives in Peru (Pangoa), Honduras (COMSA), and Ethiopia (Sidama Union) that invest in community development, education, and sustainable livelihoods. (6 oz bag, 3.3 x 2.5 x 7.75)
